The Departmental Hospital Center (CHD) is attractive and wants to make it known. Wednesday June 26, the public health establishment welcomed 112 new caregiversNurses, nursing assistants and radiographers who will support the 5,000 professionals spread between La Roche-sur-Yon, Luçon and Montaigu.

A “dynamic” establishment, insisted Laurence Halna, general care coordinatorin front of the audience of new recruits, received around a coffee and pastries. “For five years, the CHD has continued to increase its activity. It is an exception in a hospital landscape which, after the Covid crisis, is having difficulty returning to its previous activity.”

These last five yearsthe CHD hired more than 800 people, including 80% paramedics. Young graduates, but also more experienced profiles like Marc Audineau, nursing assistant newly integrated into long-term care in the Pont-Rouge unit. After eight years of night the Beaulieu-sous-la-Roche nursing home, the 47-year-old Vendéen wanted a change of scenery. The advantages offered by the hospital finally convinced him to join the hospital civil service.

“We can change site, department, we can take training,” lists the caregiver. “We also have fourteen more RTTs and the possibility of doing tax-free overtime.” Once captured, the CHD ensures that its staff is retained. This involves details. “They offer wellness sessionsbut also a turbo-nap mask before hitting the road again after a night of work,” remarked Marc Audineau. “Overall, we were very well received. And it brings balm to the heart. »

The kind of attention that can make a difference in a hospital setting ultra-competitive in matters of recruitment.
