Vélival in Tours. Work is planned on this street from July 8: what you need to know

As a continuation of the work undertaken since May on the Marceau Street and Béranger Mall, Tours Metropole Val de Loire arrange a cycle street in George-Sand street in Tours (Indre-et-Loire), between boulevard Béranger and rue d’Entraigues, where cyclists will be able to travel in both directions.

Work until July 26

Work on George-Sand Street will take place from July 8 to July 26, 2024. The new direction of traffic will be operational after the work on the cycle street, around July 26.

The parking between Boulevard Béranger and Rue d’Entraigues, as well as the climbing plants located north of Rue George Sand, will be removed. Replanting will be planned nearby.

Changes during the works

Circulations :

• Closure of the section between Béranger and Hugo between July 8 and July 19. Only riverside access will be possible* from the Sand/Hugo intersection, from the south.
• Closure of the section between Hugo and Entraigues between July 16 and 26. Only riverside access will be possible* from the Sand/Entraigues intersection, from the south. During this period, you are invited to take the diversions.
• Pedestrians: pedestrian continuity will be ensured on rue George Sand during the work. Signage will be put in place.

During the work, all your businesses remain open.
