Why the sale is expected to last longer this year

The aim of the Traders’ Federation is to spread the sale over two days, on Friday August 30 and Saturday August 31, 2024. “It was a request from merchants, in consultation with the presidents of merchant associations by neighborhood,” explains Alban Bissielo. According to Mélissa Steuer-Wurm, president of the association of traders in the Nancy-Botanique district, this joint reflection is “a first”.

Alban Bissielo specifies that “on Friday, the clearance sale would be open to all tradersboth sedentary and non-sedentary, and on Saturday, only for non-sedentary people”. This means that Saturday will be dedicated to traders who have their shops within the perimeter of the sale.

According to Alban Bissielo, “the clearance sale will last two days whatever happens”. For the moment, the Federation of Traders is awaiting approval from the prefecture. “This is a necessary formality, but it will be done.” The objective, in the long term, is to offer a clearance sale “on three, four, five days, even a week », According to Alban Bissielo.

The May clearance sale will return next year

This year, the Traders’ Federation launched a spring sale for the first time. It planned to repeat the event depending on the results.

Given the success of the operation, “we are going to perpetuate the event and it will be included in our annual agenda,” announces Mr. Bissielo.
