Isère. Village swept away by water: an appeal for donations to help the inhabitants

After visiting the site after the disaster, the Secours populaire de l’Isère continues its mobilization for the inhabitants of La Bérarde. The association has decided to launch an appeal for donations.

A week after the terrible “burst flows” which affected this small hamlet of around a hundred souls, the slightest help is welcome.

Individuals and businesses alike are invited to make a donation to the Secours populaire de l’Isère to help the victims, who are beginning to be able to return to some of the disaster sites.

Donations by check, cash or via the internet are possible

If you wish to make a donation, you can do so by sending a letter containing a check (to be addressed to Secours Populaire français, fédération de l’Isère) or cash to the following address: 8 rue des peupliers, 38100 Grenoble.

You can also make a donation on the association’s website.

The Department of Isère releases exceptional aid

In addition to Secours Populaire, the various institutions are also mobilizing. This Friday morning, the Department of Isère announced the payment of two exceptional aid of 16,000 euros and 12,500 euros, paid to the CCAS of the communes of Saint-Christophe-en Oisans and delegate of Venosc. The two municipalities “set these amounts themselves” notes the Department.

Also worth noting is the creation of an emergency aid fund that already contains 5 million euros, donated by the Department. The latter hopes that “donors and other communities” will make donations to this fund.
