Every year, France celebrates its National holiday around July 14. On this occasion, fireworks, popular balls and other traditional festivities flourish in the four corners of France. In Paris, two highlights attract local residents and visitors alike: the very impressive military parade on the Avenue des Champs-Elysées (exceptionally moved this year) as well as the iconic fireworks display from the Eiffel Tower. But the capital isn’t the only one in a party mood! Everywhere in Île-de-France, a beautiful festive program awaits you between the July 13 and 14, 2024 ! The opportunity to discover plans near you or to set off to conquer the Parisian heritage.

On the Val d’Oise side, the town of Herblay-sur-Seine is waiting for you to take part in the National Day festivities! This charming town located on the banks of the Seine and bordering the Yvelines department and surrounded by a beautiful green landscape while on the side of its historic city center, here and there we come across vestiges of the past, thus offering intriguing anachronistic elements that you would have the opportunity to discover during your walk. Not far from here, in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, you can even discover an astonishing floating chapel. Something to keep your day busy while waiting to enjoy the July 14 festivities!

National Day 2024 in Herblay-sur-Seine: the program

Saturday, July 13, 2024

The party will begin at 9:30 p.m. with the traditional distribution of tricolor lanterns to children by elected officials of the City Council. The L’Orphéon fanfare band will then open the procession for a stroll through the streets of the city center, until reaching the banks of the Seine for the rest of the festivities.

A pyrotechnic and musical show will be fired at 11 p.m. sharp from the south bank of the Seine, visible on the banks of the Seine or from the belvedere of the Saint-Martin church. The reflection of the fireworks on the river will provide a wonderful spectacle!

An open-air party in the Town Hall Park, hosted by a DJ, will close the event.
