For 5 years, La Soubirane, a female polyphonic trio from Quercy, has been enchanting churches for Christmas celebrations.
This year Occitan is in the spotlight with a repertoire even more anchored in our stories and traditions. Traveling between sacred songs and traditional songs, La Soubirane invites meditation and laughter, introspection and joy.
In this special moment of Christmas, the singers of the trio share with us stories of the ancients, stories of shepherds and stars to consult, and move in turn from a simple and joyful proximity with the public to the mystical harmony of their song.
The program will present songs from Occitania (Béarnais, Provençal, Quercynois and Aveyronnais) ranging from the 3rd to the 19th century. Finely crafted, this repertoire invites the public to travel to the heart of traditions, to the heart of the sacred. A timeless parenthesis full of emotions and spirituality.
