Although there are probably still as many wild boars in France, we can see that more and more general media are reporting on the removal of large wild boars since the start of the season. This is particularly the case of La Dépêche which reported in its columns the shooting of a very beautiful wild boar in the town of Miramont-d'Astarac. If the weight may seem common for nemrods with a bottle (138 kg), this is less the case for its author. Indeed, it is indeed a young 36-year-old hunter, Isabelle Rodriguez, who had the chance to have a great encounter during a wild boar hunt last weekend;
Passionate about hunting with her husband, she arrived in the region two years ago: “ “I am the wife, daughter and granddaughter of a hunter… I have always accompanied my loved ones on hunting sessions and then the opportunity presented itself and I took the plunge,” says Isabelle. There is perhaps also a form of maturity to be acquired before going out with a gun. »
If Isabelle has already had the opportunity to take a few wild boars, this is indeed the first time that she has succeeded in shooting such a sus scrofa. We can only be pleased that more and more women are joining the ranks of hunters every year. In fact, almost 25% of them are trying to obtain a hunting license in France.
Congratulations to Isabelle and happy season to all the dianes of France!
