Between literature and gourmet food, this is the event that mixes the two perfectly, in a fertile environment: the PérigordThe mayor of Périgueux, Delphine Labails, accompanied by the deputy mayor for culture, Rodolphe Delcros, unveiled the 20th edition of the Périgueux Gourmet Book Festival which will take place on November 15, 16 and 17.

The event will, as usual, be accompanied by literary prizes, its village of flavors and its youth festival. All activities will be free, as every year.

A renowned honorary president and guests

This year, the festival is highlighting its honorary president, who will be the renowned starred chef Thierry MarxThe organization will therefore be done around him. “We chose him for the public policies that we support, culture and agriculture, he is a personality committed to healthy eating,” explique Delphine Labails.

The chef will therefore be at the origin, in collaboration with the festival, of the various workshops of the weekend. As for the dinner on Saturday evening, it will also be concocted by the chef, “It must reflect the values ​​he brings to the world, it is so much richer to co-construct it with the president”, develops the mayor of Périgueux.

The chef, Thierry Marx, will be accompanied by his guests Erik Orsenna, Pierre Weill, Claude Fischler, Romain Jubert, Raphaël Haumont and then well-known public figures like Hugo Riboulet, Mohamed Cheikh, 2 winners of Top Chef, Niangcook on social networks and many others will be present. In total, there will be a hundred authors invited to represent the excellence of the French regions.
