The first reinforcements from ASSE are expected

Under contract until June 2025, he would like to extend his lease at Saint-Etienne, according to the information Foot Market. “Maçon wants to stay in Forez and is waiting for a sign from Saint-Étienne for an extension”according to the specialist media.

ASSE: Yvann Maçon highly coveted in Ligue 1

Unwanted at ASSE, for a time, Yvann Maçon was loaned, first to Paris FC (December 2022 to June 2023) then to Maccabi Tel-Aviv (July 2023 to January 2024). His one-season loan in Israel even came with a purchase option. But the defender returned to Saint-Etienne after half a season, following the Israeli-Hamas crisis. Unexpected in Ligue 2, he nevertheless managed to establish himself in Olivier Dall’Oglio’s team.

The versatile full-back (right or left) played 18 of the 19 matches in the second half of the championship and started 17 times. He also contributed to ASSE’s rise to the top flight, taking part in the play-off match against Rodez AF (2-0) and the play-offs against FC Metz (2-1 and 2-2). Thanks to his performances and consistency, Yvann Maçon has attracted recruiters. “He is now attracting interest from several Ligue 1 clubs”according to the source.
