French Mixed Doubles Championship. See you this Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30, in Saint-Flour (Cantal).

Maeva Cazeneuve and Ricky Bès have everything to move forward during the only French session putting men and women on an equal footing.

They are young, the double title holders, but nonetheless have experience of high-level competition. Indeed, just last year, Jean-Paul Serviole’s protégés played no less than four games (three in a group, one according to the so-called “direct elimination” formula) against Soustons.

From the Landes shores of the Atlantic Ocean to this part of the Massif Central called Planèze, there is a long way to go, but everyone is hoping for a scenario under the sign of continuity. Because the talented members of the Family managed, on April 20 and 21, to deal with the status of favorites of the departmental edition scheduled at Fontcouverte. However, the competition was formidable, like the presence, on the roller coaster, of the Narbonne tandem led by Maxime Guinle, the Bigourdan defector being none other than the son of the illustrious Mélanie Vazé.

In the final, the Carcassonnais were well inspired to win at the expense of Maude Germain and Mohamed Zennoui (Gruissan), only the highest step of the podium being synonymous with direct qualification for the French championship.

On this last Saturday in June, at around 8 a.m., pool 10 will capture the attention of Aude followers. In addition to their only representatives (those who failed, who from Gruissan, who from Mazerolles, have, unfortunately, failed to catch up), they will find the champions of Haute-Loire, Yvelines as well as a regional team, from Pays de Loire in this case. Nothing to worry about, even if any outsider worthy of the name is entitled to say that the sun is rising for everyone. On the Occitan borders of Auvergne as elsewhere…
