After fifteen months of silence, the parents of Juliette Goormans, who has been missing since November 14, 2022 in Belgium, have finally had news of her. The young woman is “free, alive and in good health.”

It is finally time for relief for the family of Juliette Goormans. On November 14, 2022, this young Belgian woman, then 17, disappeared outside a Carrefour Market, in the town of Vedrin, near Namur. Numerous police operations were carried out to find her. In vain. For fifteen months, her family remained in anguish and doubt, mobilizing the press and certain influencers on several occasions to find help.

And everything accelerated a few days ago when the police received an anonymous “tip” concerning the disappearance of Juliette Goormans. Thanks to the cooperation between the Belgian and French authorities, this information led to the search of a home in Villeurbanne, near Lyon, on Thursday, June 27, and the discovery of the young Belgian.

“She was found free, alive and in good health,” the Namur prosecutor’s office rejoiced to “La Voix du Nord”. In a press conference, the prosecutor’s office then specified that Juliette Goormans had remained “free to move around” in this home that she had won a year ago and which belongs to a Frenchman.

Now free to stay

Now aged 19, the Belgian is free to continue living in Villeurbanne and not give any more news to her relatives. But the police will still investigate “to determine the exact cause of her disappearance, as well as the conditions in which Juliette Goormans was staying with the French national”, the prosecution said, quoted by Sud Info.
