It is time to take stock, after the damage committed by farmers in the premises of the French Biodiversity Office (OFB), this Tuesday, November 19 in the town of Guéret, in Creuse. “Verbal threats”agricultural waste deposits and breaking down of doors.. While the prefect of Creuse, Anne Frackowiak-Jacobs strongly condemns these actions, the president of the Creuse Rural Coordination, Florian Tournade, assures, for his part, that he simply wants to discuss.

For Anne Frackowiak-Jacobs, the acts committed by the Rural Coordination in Guéret are unacceptable. “I condemn all these actions, these degradations and the intimidation of representatives of the MSA and the OFBshe wants to point out. However, I received members of the Coordination in an atmosphere that was respectful. I didn't imagine that the actions would unfold like this.”

This is intolerable.

“It was verbal violence towards the representatives of the MSA and the OFB, but also in front of the members of the GDS, the health defense grouprecalls Anne Frackowiak-Jacobs. It mainly covers the acts committed at the office of the French Office for Biodiversity (OFB): “What they did was really bad. They ransacked the offices, broke down a door, trampled on files, brought trash and intimidated the head of the OFB with insults and threats.”

“An investigation is underway”assures Morgan Pochoday, the head of departmental service at the OFB. It will make it possible to draw up a financial assessment of the damage committed. “We need to clean up, a door has been damaged, and objects stolenhe recalls. We are aware of their difficulties. And adds: In the comments made, we can speak of verbal violence.”

We just want to talk.

Florian Tournade

President Rural Coordination 23

“Yesterday, we started a demonstration. As we said, it's the beginning of the peasant revoltexplain Florian Tournade, the pResident Rural Coordination 23. We made a first stop at the prefecture, where we were well received by the prefect. Then we went to the MSA, but the gate was closedreports the farmer. So, then, we went in front of the OFB because we wanted to talk. But here too, there was no one to answer us. Some farmers therefore deposited agricultural waste and the door gave way. That's all.”

In total, three complaints were filed following the actions taken at the OFB. A complaint was also filed concerning the facts at the MSA. This Thursday, the Creuse Rural Coordination could join the actions in Corrèze.
