At almost 38 years old, winger Charles Kahudi has extended his contract with ASVEL for an additional season, which will be the last of his career.
He arrived at ASVEL in 2015, from Cholet, and therefore stayed in Villeurbanne for a decade. Charles Kahudi has indeed accepted the contract extension from president Tony Parker and is therefore leaving for a season, which will be the last of his career, he who will celebrate his 38th birthday in less than a month. Winner of four French championship titles and two French Cups, the native of Kinshasa confided his joy at continuing the adventure with ASVEL. “This will be my last season and it is a great honor and a privilege to be able to close this chapter of my life here in Villeurbanne. I particularly thank Tony for his trust over the past nine years as well as all the people who participate directly or indirectly in the life of the club. At the end of the season, it will be ten years, half of my career in the same jersey! Today, it’s very rare to be able to experience this! I had the chance to grow with the club through many titles and access to the Euroleague. Today, my role is different and it is a pleasure to be able to pass on this experience to the new generation that is coming, to seek the best together! », declares the one who previously wore the jersey of Cholet (2005-06), Evreux (2006-08), Dijon (2008-09) and Le Mans (2009-15).
