Jardins du Département in Dijon: a musical summer market to celebrate 100% Côte-d’Or know-how

Today and tomorrow, the Departmental Gardens in Dijon are hosting an exceptional event: the “100% Côte-d’Or Savoir-Faire” Summer Market, organized by the Côte-d’Or Departmental Council. This market highlights local products and crafts with the participation of 20 approved producers and artisans of the brand.

A new experience for visitors

This year’s Seasonal Markets are distinguished by a series of innovations. Beyond the traditional stalls selling seasonal products and local crafts, visitors will be able to enjoy new activities, including evening concerts and the broadcast of the first stage of the Tour de France on the big screen.

After the success of the events of the last two months, this 18th market once again highlights short supply chains and local crafts. This is an initiative of the Department and its partners to promote the Savoir-Faire 100% Côte-d’Or brand and its approved ones, while supporting local activity and bringing consumers closer to producers.

A program rich in entertainment

To enrich the visit to the market, the Department offers a varied program of activities:

  • Four concerts spread over two days
  • Demonstrations and activities by 100% Côte-d’Or approved
  • Wooden games for children and adults
  • A cycling area in anticipation of the Tour de France passing through Côte-d’Or
  • A relaxation area
  • The presence of a food truck with the 100% Côte-d’Or ambassador Chef Jean-Alain Poitevin, from the Bistrot de l’O restaurant in Gilly-lès-Citeaux, on Friday
  • The giant screen broadcast of the first stage of the Tour de France on Saturday

An initiative for all

François Sauvadet, President of the Departmental Council, emphasizes: “ Even more than in other years, we offer, in the Gardens, many events during the spring and summer, with a very varied program of activities, because we are lucky to have this preserved setting in the heart of Dijon. And we hope that the Côte-d’Oriens can make this place their own and spend pleasant moments there around the good 100% Côte-d’Or products ».
