The urban council was held this Thursday, June 27, 2024, in Vannes (Morbihan).

Four project managers to recruit

Developments in urban services require the creation of project contract hires. In the tourism and heritage department, a Unesco project manager is sought until the end of December 2025. The agglomeration aims to obtain the Innovative and Sustainable Destination label, with the overhaul of the Tourist Development Plan. A project manager to prefigure the ambition and the operating mode is sought until the end of December 2025.

A project manager is also required at the waste management. Golfe du Morbihan – Vannes agglomeration (GMVA) was selected as part of the call for projects on abandoned waste. It is accompanied by awareness-raising among the population on this subject.

Finally, in the communications department, a community manager journalist is also sought for a period of three years.

Poulgat wind farm

GMVA gives a favorable opinion on the project to install three wind turbines, at the place called Poulgat in the commune of Plaudren. These three wind turbines will produce 20 GWh of electricity.

Aid for lightweight and reversible housing

With the current housing crisis, more and more families are struggling to find housing. Pending the next Local Housing Plan, aid for municipalities has been created to develop land allowing households to settle in lightweight, removable housing as their main residence, for at least eight months per year. .

Subsidies

The Local Mission supports young people aged 16 to 25 in building their professional and social integration paths. In 2023, 2,067 young people from the urban area were welcomed, including 891 for the first time. The urban area voted a subsidy of €295,000 for the year 2024.

The Vipe technology park’s mission is to develop and support innovative projects. GMVA is providing a grant of €257,000 for 2024.

As in previous years, the Université Bretagne Sud (UBS) is asking the urban area to participate in financing the university’s operating expenses to the tune of €190,000. The 2024 agreement is a condition for the payment of the grant, asking UBS in particular to actively collaborate in setting up the Data Sciences and Cybersecurity campus.

Gulf Week will celebrate its 13the edition, from May 26 to 1is June 2025. The Semaine du Golfe association requested a subsidy from the agglomeration of €288,000. The subsidy from past editions will be renewed, namely €240,000.
