Jen Mignard founded a Facebook group called “Yellowstone National Park: Invasion of the Idiots.” People share photos of the insane behavior of some tourists. And one of the latest images posted is worth a look (especially if you’re coming from the other side).

It shows a Subaru carrying a canoe, perpendicular to the roof. “This is the most creative way I’ve seen to put a canoe on your vehicle,” the manager of a sports store told Cowboy State Daily, which prompted several people to comment on the image.

“Maybe they were trying to stop people from passing on the highway?,” the manager continued. But they’re going to spend a lot more gas transporting their canoe that way.” Many obviously highlighted the risk that this could represent for other road users. Not to mention that the canoe risks being damaged by air pressure. Okay, the boat is secured with safety straps: “But safety doesn’t take away from stupidity.” “I hope he takes a toll,” quips another speaker.

“Before people transport their equipment, whether it’s a kayak, canoe or bicycle, they need to become familiar with the equipment itself and how to use and transport it in complete safety,” explained an outdoor sports specialist.

“This guy is a threat to society,” concluded a great outdoorsman contacted by the newspaper. Before hanging up saying, “I need a drink.”
