During the municipal council of November 12 in Nieul-le-Dolent, elected officials validated an additional expense of €281 for an exterior wall light at the medical office which is in the process of being renovated to accommodate a dozen professionals.
This amendment was an opportunity for the mayor, Dominique Durand, and his deputy for works, Didier Chateigner, to take stock of the completion of the work on this multidisciplinary health center, launched by the municipality in 2023 and which represents a investment of €1.1 million.
First arrivals from December 16
Doctor Élie Rocheteau will join the building on December 16, followed quickly by nurses and speech therapists. “The modulars must be gone by December 31,” recalled the mayor.
Didier Chateigner also spoke of the challenges encountered at this stage of the project: “All the companies no longer come to the weekly meetings, and finishing details appear every day (signage, small equipment, etc.).”
Certain aspects will therefore need to be finalized with healthcare professionals once installed, in order to provide them with a fully satisfactory tool.
Twelve health professionals
On December 7, elected officials will visit the site to see the progress of this project. On this subject, the municipality's website specifies that acceptance of the work is planned for the end of November. “We will have the chance to welcome twelve health professionals to these new premises: doctors, medical secretary, nurses, speech therapists, psychologist and dietitian. »
Since the end of October, it has been possible to make an appointment online on the website: [https://www.cabinetmedical-nieulledolent.fr/] (https://www.cabinetmedical-nieulledolent.fr/). Patients will be seen for consultation by the regular doctor, a replacement or a medical student at the end of their studies. The secretariat can still be reached on 02 28 97 83 84.
