Smart Bison sees red on the roads for this first weekend of vacation departures

HAS At the dawn of the long school holidays, Bison futé sees red on the roads of Ile-de-France. If the children are not officially on leave, this last weekend in June marks the start of the summer crossovers. According to forecasts, traffic will be heavy throughout France, starting this Friday, June 28. Bison futé estimates that “these are mainly French people, not subject to school obligations, who take their vacation from the start of summer to take advantage of less attendance but also foreign tourists coming from neighboring countries”.

Traffic jams are therefore expected from early afternoon on Friday, in the direction of departures, throughout the territory classified as orange. On the roads serving the Mediterranean arc (A7, A8, A50 and A57), the Atlantic coast (A63 and N165) and the northern borders (A25), traffic jams are to be expected.

On the Île-de-France side, the day is classified red. Bison futé predicts heavy traffic towards the toll gates of the A10 and A6 motorways from late morning. Traffic jams, which will also affect the ring road, can last until late in the evening.

Île-de-France and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes classified orange Saturday and Sunday

Traffic is also expected to be difficult for the day of this Saturday, June 29. In the direction of departures, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes will mainly be affected by traffic jams. According to Bison futé, the A7, A75 and N205 motorways will be routes where traffic is expected to be difficult. In Île-de-France, from the start of the morning, traffic will be heavy towards the toll gates of the A6 and A10 motorways, again in the direction of departures.

Slowdowns could appear relatively early in the morning, particularly on the A10 motorway and to a lesser extent on the A6 motorway. The A13 motorway may also experience traffic difficulties from mid-morning. Both regions are classified orange by Smart Bison.

READ ALSO What are the “free flow” highways that are being developed in France? For the day of this Sunday, June 30, traffic jams will be concentrated in the direction of returns in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, again on the A7, A47 and N205 motorways. In Île-de-France, again, it will be the axes around the toll gates of the A10 and A6 motorways which will be congested.
