Jardins du Département in Dijon: a musical summer market to celebrate 100% Côte-d’Or know-how this Friday 28 and Saturday 29 June

Friday June 28 and Saturday June 29, the Departmental Council of Côte-d’Or is organizing its Summer Market “100% Côte-d’Or Know-How” in the Department’s gardens in Dijon, with 20 approved local producers and artisans of the brand. This year, the Seasonal Markets offer new experiences to the many visitors: beyond the traditional market, with its stalls of seasonal products and local crafts, new activities are offered including evening concerts and the broadcast of the 1st stage of the Tour de France!

After the success of the events organized over the last two months, this new meeting of the Department, in its gardens, highlights short supply chains and local crafts. With this 18th market, the Department and its partners are continuing their actions to promote the Savoir-Faire 100% Côte-d’Or brand and those approved. By developing meetings between producers, artisans and consumers, the Department supports local activity and participates in relocating food as close as possible to production sites.
To enhance the visit to the Market and provide the public with new experiences, the Department has put together an even richer programme of activities this year:
· four concerts over the two days
· demonstrations and activities from our 100% Côte-d’Or approved
· wooden games for children and adults
· a cycling area a few days before the Tour de France passes through Côte-d’Or
· a relaxation area
· the presence of a food truck with one of the 100% Côte-d’Or Ambassador Chefs on Friday è Jean-Alain Poitevin, Chef of the Bistrot de l’O restaurant in Gilly-lès-Citeaux
· the broadcast on giant screen of the 1st stage of the Tour de France on Saturday.

« Even more than in other years, we offer numerous events in the Gardens during the spring and summer, with a very varied program of activities, because we are fortunate to have this preserved setting in the heart of Dijon. And we hope that Côte-d’Oriens can make this place their own and spend pleasant moments around good 100% Côte-d’Or products. »concludes François Sauvadet.
