The Saint-Martin de Charmoy association is working to restore the church and the art objects it contains.
She convinced the municipality to restore two polychrome wooden high reliefs from the 16th century (the Vision of Saint Hubert, the Hunter and the cruciferous deer) which have been listed since 1978. The Town Hall and the Association, with the help of loyal volunteers, organize events to raise funds for this purpose.
A subscription to the Fondation du patrimoine is also online and can be found at www.fondation-patrimoine.org.
Likewise, following a request to the department, it voted for departmental aid in the amount of €9,810 during the standing committee of June 14.

This very good news was announced by Didier Laubérat, Departmental Councilor, Mayor of Marmagne, representing the President of the Department André Accary during the “CHARMOY 2024” day of June 16, the profits of which are intended to finance the restoration. The Mayor, Gilbert Coulon and the President of the association, Brigitte Lauprêtre warmly thanked the department for this important assistance, which after that of the DRAC and donations, should allow the financing to be finalized quickly.
Indeed, the profit expected from the piano recital in the church on August 9 at 8 p.m. given by Fred Snoek, an internationally renowned pianist, should allow it to be finalized.
