Her relatives believe that she would still be alive if it had been an anesthetist who had taken care of her, adding that their daughter underwent all the required tests before this surgical procedure.

In a written question addressed to the Minister of Health and Social Protection, MP Khalid Chennak expressed his deep sadness at this tragedy, calling for the urgent opening of an investigation to determine the circumstances of the girl’s death “who underwent a simple surgical operation to remove her tonsils in a private clinic on the evening of Tuesday June 25.”

The deputy of the Istiqlalian group also deplored “the recurring deaths of children due to negligence in certain private clinics that only aim for profit”, hoping that the “transparent and impartial” investigation that will be opened will make it possible to determine responsibilities, to punish the perpetrators of Yousra’s death and to avoid the occurrence of new deaths of innocent people, most of whom are minors.
