During their municipal council meeting on Monday, June 24, the elected officials of Saint-Amand-sur-Sèvre discussed the allocation of subsidies to associations and the agreement with the Catholic Education Management Organization (Ogec) for the year 2024.

Regarding subsidies, overall stability is essential. Calculation rules for sports associations index the individual amount given (€17 per person) to the number of licensees. The amount allocated to the ADMR is based on a scale of €0.80 per inhabitant or €1,159. “The ADMR is very present in the town with many volunteers. Compared to the time invested, it’s not huge,” analyzes Sylvie Bazantay, the mayor. For the fishing school, a strong exceptional increase (€700) is validated.

As for Ogec, the council aligned the amount allocated for a primary school student to that of the average departmental cost (€630.47 compared to €612.83 in 2023), while retaining its rate of 911.18 € for kindergarten students. With 48 nursery schools and 90 primary schools (plus seven pupils in five classes), the overall cost amounts to €100,478, an increase of €5,861 compared to 2023 (+5.8%). “It increases the budget, of course, but we have a team that works well with premises that are well maintained. »

Route. The axis between La Petite-Boissière and Saint-Amand will be closed from July 8 to August 2 for work.

Clearing. Work was undertaken by Bocasèvre environment concerning the embankment of the canteen car park and the picnic area of ​​the bridge for an amount of €540.

PLH. The local housing program (PLH) received a favorable opinion from elected officials. This six-year program (€9,140,000 or €21 per inhabitant per year in the Agglo2B territory) should make it possible to develop housing. The commune of Saint-Amand-sur-Sèvre is classified as a rural development zone. “This development must be aimed at workers looking for housing,” announces Sylvie Bazantay.

Pocket money. Five young people aged 16-17 are registered. Elected officials have budgeted €1,000 for missions whose program remains to be finalized.

Seniors’ meal. It is scheduled for Friday October 18 and will concern everyone who is 60 and over. The municipality has validated an envelope of €1,000 to finance it.

Football changing rooms. Consideration will be given to possible work on the old changing rooms of the football stadium which have become dilapidated and which present a security risk. Between rehabilitation or reconstruction, no decision has been made but elected officials should not delay in making a decision.
