Through word of mouth, she came across a young woman who seemed quite knowledgeable about obtaining licenses illegally.
A “pity” scam
The latter, aged 24, was tried, in her absence, Thursday June 27, for acts of fraud committed in Pont-de-Buis-lès-Quimerch. His role in this affair? The intermediary because she “pityed” the victim. The defendant then advised him to go to a “Bon Plan Paris Show” Snapchat account allowing him to buy the code, the driving license but also to recover points.
More than €1,500 in damage
This might make you smile if there were no victims behind it all. Because the woman ended up paying more than €1,500, via PCS payments, to the scammers. And when he was asked to leave his identity papers “in a garbage container next to Roazhon Park”, the victim began to feel that there was a wolf.
During her hearings, the defendant stressed that she did not think it was a scam even if she could recognize the illegal side of the facts carried out on this Snapchat account deleted shortly after. Against her, the public prosecutor requested a three-month suspended prison sentence. Requests followed by the court.
