At 25.9% in metropolitan France, the turnout at midday is clearly up for the first round of the legislative elections. From over 34% in Aveyron to 17.93% in Seine-Saint-Denis, the turnout gaps are however quite different from one department to another.

If nationally participation in the vote The first round of the legislative elections stands at 25.9% at 12 noon this Sunday, June 30, a sharp increase compared to the 2022 legislative elections (18.43%), the figures are slightly more disparate at the departmental level.

Aveyron came out on top of the departments where the proportion of voters going to the polls was the highest in the morning, with 34.41% participation, according to figures from the Ministry of the Interior.

Participation at 17.93% in Seine-Saint-Denis

The podium is completed by Bouches-du-Rhône and Gers which respectively display 33.7% and 33.61% participation. They are closely followed by the Dordogne department with 32.85% then by Hautes-Alpes which display 32.68% participation at midday.

Conversely, the department where the population traveled the least to vote is Seine-Saint-Denis, since the participation rate stood at 17.93% at 12 p.m. The penultimate in this ranking is finally the department of Val-de-Marne where the participation rate is 18.29%, just after Hauts-de-Seine where the participation is 18.47% at midday.

In Paris, the turnout rate was 25.48% at noon for this first round of the legislative elections. A figure up from 2022, when 12.26% of voters turned out at the same time.

The next participation figures will be known at 5 p.m., before an initial estimate of the legislative results published at 8 p.m.
