Foundation of Cégep de Valleyfield
During the graduation ceremonies of each of the region’s schools, the Cégep de Valleyfield Foundation awarded three $500 scholarships to students who met the selection criteria established by their teachers.
This Foundation initiative aims to encourage high school graduates to enroll in a program available at Cégep de Valleyfield. In total, $9,000 was given to 18 graduating students from the five secondary schools affiliated with the Trois-Lacs School Service Center as well as Collège Bourget in Rigaud.
These scholarships are part of the strategy adopted by the Foundation to create an initial link with the student population. Scholarships My CEGEP are also a lever to facilitate the transition of high school graduates to higher education.
During the 2023-2024 school year, the Foundation distributed the equivalent of $175,000 in scholarships to the student population of Cégep de Valleyfield. The main objective of the organization is to support students in the success of their educational projects as well as:
– To work towards the development of the CEGEP according to the aspirations of the students;
– To contribute to the local, regional, national and international influence of the Cégep;
– To contribute to the improvement of places intended for the college community.
