With summer officially here, the Mon Marché team is finalizing the final preparations for the opening of the Rendez-vous gourmand (RDVG). This seasonal public market, located in the heart of downtown Victoriaville, offers the opportunity to purchase fresh and tasty products every week by meeting producers, processors and artisans in the region.

On the Vélogare du Grand-Tronc site, the RDVG will be held every Sunday from July 7 to August 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition to the producers and artisans who will be on site, visitors will be able to enjoy a superb program which will vary over the weeks. Musicians, actors and even guest chefs will join in to give festive air to this gourmet Sunday break.

For a second consecutive year, Mon Marché is at the helm of the event, in collaboration with the City of Victoriaville. “For Mon Marché, taking over the organization of the RDVG was obvious, since the two missions come together: to offer quality regional products while promoting the link between producers and consumers. The RDVG represents another opportunity to create this meeting,” declares Pierre Mélançon, general director of Mon Marché.

Indeed, the RDVG is an opportunity to get in touch with local producers and artisans, to learn more about these women and men, all passionate, and of course to taste their delicious products.

“The Rendez-vous gourmand allows you to discover high-quality regional products in the heart of downtown Victoriaville. This activity is in addition to our rich summer event program. It also offers an exceptional showcase for our producers. I invite the entire population to discover the market,” said Antoine Tardif, Mayor of Victoriaville.
