Eric Giraudier, president of the CCI du Gard, is launching a major prevention plan with companies to anticipate business failures in the context of a 2025 economic context which promises to be very difficult.
“Veille TPE” is the name of this major business prevention plan planned by the CCI du Gard. “All economic indicators have gone from green to orange or even red since the dissolution of June 2024 in all sectors. And we, at the CCI, said to ourselves that we are the first local contact for businesses, we know how to act locally with the 50,000 companies in the region. 2025 will be complicated because the deadline for companies is increasing, so companies' cash flow is limited and public procurement is falling.”
The CCI, through its files, will identify companies and carry out monitoring of the most fragile companies which are recent companies, 3 to 5 years old, 1 to 3 employees, in certain geographical areas. We are going to take proactive action to contact them and ask them how things are going with the bank, Urssaf. We are going to do this work of connecting companies with organizations that can help them to renegotiate elements and request payment deadlines. And above all, don't wait for companies to hit the wall.” assures the President of the Chamber who has put Jean-Marie Albouy, President of the Commercial Court, at the heart of this system.
This preventive measure will begin in January 2025 and will of course be subject to acceptance by the manager. “A company that stops is good for no one, because it creates Urssaf debt and it is the other companies who pay, if the lessor does not get paid it puts him in difficulty, also for the suppliers.” declares Eric Giraudier. And for companies that no longer have a future “you have to be able to tell the manager that it is better that he stops and that he does not eat up his capital because his company will be very hard to turn around.” This work is done by many prevention systems but the number of prevention requests is too low and Veille TPE is there to make it grow.
