In Serres-et-Montguyard, Myriam Bourgy and her partner Geert grow organic vegetables all year round at the GAEC la corne d'Abondance. With a free-picking subscription formula, they are reinventing the link between producers and consumers.
Established for around ten years in Serres-et-Montguyard near Eymet in Dordogne, Myriam Bourgy and Geert Schoenmakers grow diverse organic vegetables on a Terre de Liens farm. This national organization makes it possible to withdraw agricultural land from speculation to encourage the establishment of new farmers. The couple focuses on peasant agriculture on a human scale, promoting short circuits and respect for natural cycles.
An innovative subscription formula for direct pick-up
The GAEC Cornucopia offers self-picking by subscription. For 350 euros per year, more than a hundred families have access to fresh vegetables all year round. This model allows subscribers to pick their own vegetables according to the season and observe the production stages on site. Myriam and Geert hope to double the number of subscribers, convinced that this direct link strengthens understanding and support for sustainable agriculture.
A commitment to responsible agriculture
By collaborating with structures like Terre de Liens and being part of a dynamic local environment, Myriam and Geert embody local agriculture. This model favors dialogue between producers and consumers. It invites citizens to discover the reality of agricultural work, to follow the rhythms of the seasons and to actively commit to supporting organic and local agriculture.
