The Niort market representing the Poitou-Charentes region is the big winner ahead of the Audruicq and Louhans markets.

Your most beautiful market
There were 24 of them competing during the national vote for season 7 of Your Most Beautiful Market. After more than two months of competition, Marie-Sophie Lacarrau has just revealed, the Niort market representing the Poitou-Charentes region is the big winner of this 2024 edition. After trying its luck twice in 2019 and 2022 , the market in the capital of the Deux-Sèvres department, selected with the help of the Nouvelle République du Centre-Ouest, wins the competition organized by TF1’s 13H.
The Niort market, which is open every day except Monday, takes place in covered halls made of cast iron and steel in the Baltard style. On Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, in addition to the 60 traders present under the halls, around 50 others come to display outside in the surrounding area.
Niort adds its name to the list of Your Most Beautiful Market which has already crowned Sanary-sur-Mer (Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur)), Montbrison (Rhône-Alpes), Dieppe (Haute-Normandie), Étaples-sur- Sea (Nord-Pas-de-Calais), Narbonne (Languedoc-Roussillon) and La Réole (Aquitaine). It came first in front of the Audruicq market in the North and that of Louhans in Saône-et-Loire. In total, no less than 8 million votes were recorded for this 2024 season.
Voting for season 7 of Your Most Beautiful Market started in the regions on March 6. At the end of this first ballot, the national vote was launched on April 22 until the Top 10 is revealed a month later. The ranking was finalized on June 14 at 8 p.m. before the super jury meeting. The latter, composed of Isabelle Ithurburu, Bruce Toussaint, Laurent Kérusoré and three viewers, was in turn able to comment on the three markets that came first.
