The Prés Saint-Jean festival, in Alès, is in the starting blocks!

The 17th edition of this neighborhood party takes place on June 29 and 30. With a well-known rapper headlining a free concert, given in front of the Jean-Baptiste-Dumas high school.

With such a poster, Fouad Boumarcid, the director of the association Rencontre et friendship d’ici et d’ailleurs (Raia), expects to see people arriving in front of the Jean-Baptiste-Dumas high school (JBD), in Alès, this weekend. Because after Lyna Mahyem last year, the headliner of the 17th edition of the Prés Saint-Jean festival will be Lartiste. Youssef Akdim, French-Moroccan rapper, singer-songwriter, known in particular for his song “Chocho Chochocolat”, will perform for free this Saturday, June 29, from 8 p.m., on the Place de Belgique.

A Loto show to start

But the festivities begin this Friday, June 28, in the evening. Indeed, as in the two previous opuses, the Alésiens are invited to a Loto show. Once again, this will be hosted, from 9 p.m., by DJ Kim. This meeting is intended “accessible”, with boxes sold for €2 each. And with significant prizes at stake, such as a stay in Marrakech and another at Disneyland Paris. The principle, explained the director of the Raia social center a few weeks ago, consists of “mix a traditional lotto with a village festival”. With music… and good humor, of course.
