The 111th edition of the Tour de France will start this Saturday from Florence and will visit four countries (Italy, San Marino, Monaco and France) during 21 stages, for a total distance of 3,498 kilometers to Nice. This will be the 26th departure from abroad of the Grande Boucle, which will then pass through seven regions and 30 departments of France. It will arrive for the first time in its history in Nice, and not in Paris, due to the Olympic Games (from July 26 to August 11).
Two days before the start of the first stage, the 176 riders and the 22 teams will be presented to the Florentine public during a parade from Palazzo Vecchio, Florence’s city hall, to Piazzale Michelangelo, the esplanade Michelangelo.
