the driver was carrying 40 kg of synthetic drugs

The police seized a little more than 40 kilos of different synthetic drugs in Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis) this Tuesday morning, following a refusal to comply. The man driving the car managed to escape while his passenger was arrested, we learned -17.

It was around 7 a.m. when a police patrol ordered the driver of a powerful Audi RS3 to stop for a check on Boulevard Carnot in the city center. The vehicle did not have a license plate, according to a source close to the case. A little further on, the driver lost control of his vehicle which stopped. The driver ran away, just like his passenger who was caught and arrested by police officers from the territorial contact brigade (BTC) a few minutes later.

The car stolen in Belgium

In the vehicle, law enforcement discovered narcotics, including nearly 20 kilos of MDMA, also known as ecstasy. “The RS3 had been stolen in Belgium”, specifies the same source. Several license plates were also discovered in the Audi.

The passenger was taken into custody in the premises of the Departmental Judicial Police Service of Seine-Saint-Denis (SDPJ 93). The driver is wanted. A measure which can extend up to 96 hours in the case of an investigation into drug trafficking. The quantity of drugs seized exceeds one million euros for resale, underlines a police source.
