Open windows settles in the neighborhoods of Brest every Friday, from June 28 to September 6, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Le Grain theater company and the social centers of neighborhoods invested have been organizing this event for five years, which has become the summer meeting inhabitants.
Eight districts of the game
The kick-off will be given on Friday at Asking for it With l’national orchestra of Jahiner (June 28). The festivities will then follow one another. This year, eight neighborhoods volunteered, including a new one, Lambézellec (July 19). The public can therefore meet at Queliverzan (July the 5th), Kerbernard (July 26), Bellevue (August 2nd), Valy-Her (August 23), On request (August 30) and On point (September 6).
The inhabitants are part of the adventure. “They are invited to intervene to concoct the recipe for a neighborhood. Collaboration with social centers facilitates the mobilization of volunteers,” says Lucie Provost, facilitator at the Pen-ar-Creac’h social center.
An open stage
Each evening, different proposals. Kérédern will vibrate, for example, to the sound of the poetic rap of NO. In Pontanézen, a karaoke session is announced to end the festival in song!
Every Friday evening, professionals and amateurs will come together on a open scene : “All suggestions will be welcome: singing, dancing, improvising… The aim will be to invite as many people as possible on stage,” explains Elsa Vanzande, festival coordinator.
