First reconversion in the 90s
With the end of national education orders in 1990, we had to reinvent ourselves. The company thus succeeded in developing the liquid formula for Marseille soap. A market in which Provendi is now the leader.
2nd post-Covid range expansion
And the brand was even able to reinvent itself once again following the Covid crisis. She has developed cosmetic ranges (white cosmetics, shower gels, hair care, creams, etc.), again with success. The family business today has around a hundred people in Haute-Savoie, in Bons-en-Chablais. It achieved a turnover of 20 million euros in 2023.
The starting product now a collector’s item
The famous yellow soap in the shape of a rugby ball still exists. It is now available in different scents and colors. But it is now sold all over the world mainly as a decorative object. An almost unique product of the company in the 1970s, it today represents less than 2% of provendi’s turnover, proof of the Chablais-based company’s ability to renew itself.
