If you have any items you would like to make appraise, it is time. The Rossini auction house, based in Paris-Drouot, will be present at Bayeux and Caen (Calvados)respectively on July 2 and 3, 2024. Auctioneers will be present for appraise your jewelry for freepaintings and other art objects that you may have at home.

Free and without obligation to sell

Old and modern paintings, sculptures, jewelry, gold or collectible coins, Asian art, stamps, great wines… there is no no limits for the objects to be appraised. “We appraise and estimate them directly, free of charge and without any sales commitment. At the end of the meeting, everyone is free to keep their belongings with their family or to entrust them to us if they wish to sell them,” explains François-Xavier Poncet, one of the auctioneers.

If the person wishes to sell their property, a sales mandate contract with a minimum starting price will be achieved. “We return with the goods to Paris and we present them in one of our thematic auctions. In the event of a sale, we retain a commission of 22.8% of the final price and in the event of failure, the return is free. »

Lots of jewelry and gold coins

Last year, the auctioneers had already travelled to Bayeux and Caen for appraisals.

We had collected a lot of jewelry and gold coins. These are the objects that we usually see the most, because we inherit more jewelry than master paintings.

Last year, they were entrusted a beautiful shield known as “Franc on horseback of John II the Good”, sold for €1,100 or even a beautiful Art-Deco ring sold for €5,900. “In Caen, we were entrusted with old paintings, a canopic vase from ancient Egypt, which were all sold for a few hundred euros. »
