The sixth constituency of Maine-et-Loire is a bit like the marriage of carp and rabbit. Very urban on one side and very rural on the other, it stretches from the Belle-Beille district in Angers to the south to Bégrolles-en-Mauges and pushes its lights to the border of the Loire-Atlantique, in Orée-d’Anjou. Residents there have very varied concerns, from maintaining employment in rural areas to social integration in a neighborhood deemed sensitive and benefiting from a plan from the national agency for urban renovation (ANRU).

The constituency brings together 135,213 inhabitants for 99,557 voters, making it the largest in the department. In 2017 and 2022, the former stronghold of Hervé de Charette (24 years of interspersed mandate for the former Minister of Foreign Affairs) chose a Macronist deputy in the person of Nicole Dubré-Chirat, a retired nursing executive. Elected with 61.77% of the votes against the experienced André Martin (LR) in 2017, this virtual unknown retained her seat five years later (with 57.60% of the votes) against Tassadit Amghar (Nupes, LFI ).

She will be in the running again on Sunday to try to keep her seat. The outgoing MP will face her Tim Pavageau (National Rally, 20 years old, cook), Anaëlle Chaussivert (Les Républicains, 20 years old and law student), Sylvie Gabin (New Popular Front, 64 years old retired), Yann Le Diagon (Lutte Worker, 45 years old, teacher) and Eric Mercier (Debout la France, 53 years old, nurse).
