Born in 2019 in Roubaix, the Brewbaix brewery moved to the city center a few months ago. She has just opened a “taproom”, a bar tasting its beers, next to its barrels! We’ll show you around.
Small local restaurant
The Brewbaix brewery has opened its bar within its brewery since June 14, 2024. “We serve our beers, plus juices, wine, kombucha and small local restaurants” says Jérôme Gervais, the manager of Brewbaix.
The terrine comes from Saint-Amand-les-Eaux, the Kombucha from Houplines, the apple juice from Herlies, the chips from Sainghin-en-Mélantois, the sausage is French.
Terrace
Its new location has a beautiful sheltered terrace that can accommodate around twenty people. Its room can accommodate 60 customers.
You will directly see the large vats of the brewery since the “taproom” is located where the beer is brewed.
Price-wise, count on €5 to €6 for a 50 cl glass of beer, €4 for a 33 cl beer, €3.5 for a glass of wine. Four draft beers are offered.
Grocery store too
The bar also has a grocery area where you can buy Brewbaix beers (€5 per 75 cl bottle).
Artistic labels soon
For the moment, the business is open from Wednesday to Friday in the early evening. Brewbaix plans to recruit a person to run the bar in a second phase, which would allow the opening days and hours to be extended.
Brewbaix’s next project: creating labels with a very well-known artist from Roubaix, probably starting this summer!
The taproom is open Wednesday to Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
