A telephone cable breaks a window of the school bus, a schoolboy injured in Orne

A 13-year-old boy was injured in the face after a window of his school bus broke, this Tuesday, November 19, 2024 in the morning, in Saint-Hilaire-sur-Erre (Orne). A telephone cable put pressure on the window which broke.

A 13-year-old schoolboy was injured in the face by a broken window in his school bus this Tuesday, November 19, 2024, in Saint-Hilaire-sur-Erre (Orne). The vehicle was picking up young people in the direction of the Val-au-Perche college, when the accident occurred around 7:40 a.m. at the place called La Planche, on the RD 286. According to our information, the bus got caught in a telephone cable, which put pressure on a window, breaking it.

Taken to hospital

The 13-year-old boy received a shard of glass in the face. Emergency services transported him to the Nogent-le-Rotrou hospital center. His injury would only be superficial.

The bus carried three other students, who returned to the establishment without incident. The event mobilized the Bellême gendarmerie and motorcyclists from Mortagne-au-Perche, as well as firefighters.
