Appointment of Charles Giusti, the new prefect of Eure
By decree of the President of the Republic dated October 31, 2024 published in the Official Journal, Mr. Charles Giusti is appointed prefect of Eure. Since October 2022, he has been prefect of Aveyron.
A former student of the Naval Academy, Charles Giusti began his career in the French Navy where he served for 19 years.
Between 2003 and 2008, he served as head of office then head of group at the civil security directorate at the Ministry of the Interior before being appointed deputy director of youth policies then deputy to the director of youth , popular education and community life. In 2011, he was appointed deputy director of planning and crisis management at the general directorate of civil security and crisis management before becoming head of department, deputy to the director of prison administration.
In 2017, he became head of department, deputy to the director general of overseas territories before being appointed prefect, senior administrator of the French Southern and Antarctic Lands.
