Promoting more environmentally friendly travel is the objective of the Mobility Challenge in Pays de la Loire, the sixth edition of which took place from April 15 to 21 and whose prizes were awarded yesterday evening Tuesday June 25 by elected officials Christophe Cotta and Matthieu Failler.

This year, the Mobility Challenge mobilized 46 structures including 5 local schools. This represents 1,267 people, or 325 more than in 2023, who favored eco-mobility. It is estimated that a saving of more than 17,500 kg of carbon dioxide could be achieved.

Around a third of journeys were made by train, 23% by carpooling and 23% also by bicycle.

Each structure that participated in the Mobility challenge is awarded a trophy made with Bluelab.

Thank you to all the participating establishments and to salute your commitment each establishment will be awarded at the end of this ceremony the 2024 mobility challenge trophy produced in collaboration with the Blue Lab which is a third place labeled Territory Factory, focused on creativity, design, prototyping and digital manufacturing.

Matthieu Failler, elected to city policy and gentle travel

The Théâtre de Saint-Nazaire receives first prize in the Establishment with 20 to 99 employees category. It is committed to mobility with the Employer Mobility Plan agreement (participation rate 60%, 386 km traveled in ecomobile mode).

The CARENE headquarters, Saint-Nazaire Agglomération, is the first winner in the Establishment 100 to 499 employees category. The community is exemplary among its agents with a 50% participation rate and 4,770 km traveled in eco-mobile mode.

  • 3e CHARLES RIVER SAINT-NAZAIRE, establishment which has recently launched the mobility approach (participation rate 40%, 3,354km traveled in ecomobile mode with a modal shift rate: 34%)

  • 1is SIEGE HULLS (Saint-Nazaire Agglo), exemplary to its agents (participation rate 50%, 4770 km traveled in ecomobile mode)
  • 2e REGIONAL DIRECTORATE OF PUBLIC FINANCES SAINT-NAZAIRE, an establishment which has been launching the mobility approach for several months with its two sites (participation rate 22%, 4982 km traveled in ecomobile mode)
  • 3e TOWN HALL SAINT ANDRE DES EAUXIt isestablishment fully committed to eco-mobility (participation rate 21%, 1175 km traveled in ecomobile mode)

  • 1is AIRBUS ATLANTIC SAINT-NAZAIREparticipation rate 7.5%, 7283 km traveled in ecomobile mode and with a rate of report modal 43%

Favorite price

  • The most modal shift in active mode : Olivier LAURENT (Airbus Montoir)covered the most km in active mode compared to the individual car (140km).
  • Most KM by bike : Samuel BREGEOT (Chantiers de l’Atlantique) challenged himself during this week of the Mobility Challenge by making journeys from Pornic to St-Nazaire with a total of 240 km over 4 days in modal shift from carpooling to cycling.
  • Most days in Carpooling : Decoueur Philippe (Fab Academy) 5 days and 750 km has been making all of his trips by carpool for a long time.
  • The daytime extra by bus : Rita Ntolo Airbus (Saint-Nazaire) 6 days by bushis daily mode of travel
