Air Algérie returns to Valencia, here are all the details

The national airline Air Algérie continues to expand its network of European destinations in anticipation of the 2024 summer season. After strengthening its connections with Alicante, Air Algérie announces the resumption of an air link suspended for four years with Spain, marking his big return to Valencia.

This decision comes in a context where demand for travel to Europe, and in particular to Spain, is experiencing a significant increase during the summer period. According to information from the specialized site Aeroroutes, Air Algérie plans to operate flights between Algiers and Valencia from July 14 to September 13. This return is particularly awaited by the Algerian diaspora and business travelers, as well as by Spanish tourists wishing to discover or rediscover Algeria.

Air Algérie has carefully planned its flight schedule for this route. Initially, two flights per week will be offered, every Thursday and Sunday. However, from August 5, the company will increase the frequency to three weekly flights, meeting growing demand during peak season.

According to the program revealed by Aeroroutes, flight AH2008 will leave Algiers at 4:40 p.m. to arrive in Valencia. The return flight AH2009 will depart from Valencia airport at 7:45 p.m. This choice of schedules aims to offer travelers convenient options for short stays or business trips, maximizing their time on site.

The resumption of this connection with Valence is part of a broader Air Algérie strategy aimed at strengthening its presence in Europe. In addition to Valencia and Alicante, the company already serves several other Spanish destinations, such as Madrid and Barcelona. This expansion reflects Air Algérie’s desire to adapt to the needs of its customers and capture a larger share of the tourist and professional market between Algeria and Spain.

In addition, this initiative meets a dual objective: to facilitate travel for Algerians living in Spain and to promote tourism in Algeria by attracting Spanish visitors.

The introduction of this new route is accompanied by measures intended to guarantee a pleasant and secure travel experience. Air Algérie is committed to respecting international safety and comfort standards, while offering competitive rates. The company is also focusing on an improved customer service policy, with simplified online booking options and enhanced assistance for passengers.

Moreover, as for the prices applied by the national flag on this line, we were able to do a simulation on the Air Algérie website. A round trip from Algiers to Valencia (from July 14 to 28, 2024), i.e. in the middle of the summer period, is sold at 33,604 dinars, the equivalent of 140 euros at the informal exchange rate.

Furthermore, strengthening the offer of flights to Spain is also a strategic response to the economic challenges and opportunities of the post-pandemic air transport market. The gradual resumption of international travel and the increase in demand for popular tourist destinations are positive signals for the sector. By diversifying its routes and increasing its capacities, Air Algérie is advantageously positioned to capture the increased demand and stimulate tourism and trade.

Ultimately, the resumption of Air Algérie flights between Algiers and Valencia is excellent news for travelers from both countries. This initiative demonstrates Air Algérie’s commitment to meeting the expectations of its customers while contributing to the development of relations between Algeria and Spain. The 2024 summer season looks promising with this new offer, which will facilitate cultural and economic exchanges and offer passengers greater flexibility in their travel.
