Paris 2024 Olympics, football: the list of Spanish players for the Games with PSG goalkeeper Arnau Tenas

Spain unveils its list for the Paris Olympic Games (July 26-August 11). After the French team, the Iberian selection and its coach Santiago Denia communicated the 22 players selected for the deadline. Among them is PSG third goalkeeper Arnau Tenas.

Among the outfield players, we find the young nuggets of FC Barcelona Pau Cubarsi and Fermin Lopez, but not the phenomenon Lamine Yamal, already involved in the Euro.

Lopez, who played his first minutes in Spain’s third group match, already qualified for the last 16, may be able to play in both competitions, but not Yamal, an undisputed starter in the senior team at 16 and a notable absentee from the Olympic list. Villarreal midfielder Alex Baena, also in Germany and a starter against Albania, has also been called up, despite the Spanish clubs’ order not to allow their players to play in the Euro and the Olympics in a row.

This list includes many young talents playing in La Liga, such as defenders Miguel Gutierrez and Eric Garcia, who shone with Girona but belong to Real Madrid and Barça, or Atlético Madrid midfielder Pablo Barrios, as well as striker Samu Omorodion.
