Philippe Hinschberger soon to be unemployed?

A few weeks after narrowly missing out on their return to Ligue 2 with the Chamois Niortais, Philippe Hinschberger is not even sure of returning to the National next season. On the brink of collapse for many weeks, the Deux Sèvres club could well be sanctioned quite severely this Wednesday.

Niort soon to be wiped off the map?

Administrative demotion, exclusion from national championships or even filing for bankruptcy, the prospects are not very encouraging for Niort as the club is auditioned by the National Directorate of Control and Management (DNCG) this Wednesday. The cause ? A degraded economic situation, with a deficit estimated between 2.5 and 2.7 million euros and a sale of the club which could not be completed on time, negotiations with the only potential buyer being at a standstill.

« We have zero information, it’s simple. I stay in touch with Mikaël Hanouna (editor’s note: general manager), but I can’t get him on the phoneaffirmed Philippe Hinschberger to our colleagues from the New Republic on June 14. Each time, he tells me that he is working, that he will have information next week. Honestly, I don’t know what to think. » Since this speech, the situation has hardly improved.

Quentin Bernard’s concern, the departure of Paul Delecroix

This is another history of the club, the left side Quentin Bernardwho spoke in recent hours: “Today I am afraid… My favorite club might disappear tomorrow (this Wednesday), on the eve of the day of all dangers, I allow myself to write these few words, I, the optimist by nature, we are all in uncertainty, worry and lack of information (…) Tomorrow I will not don’t know which door we will open. But Chamois Niortais FC, I wanted to tell you that we will always be behind you! I believe in a bright future (…) I’m scared, I laugh, I cry, waiting for what’s next…”

Former Amiens SC goalkeeper, returned to Niort last season after a successful first stint between 2011 and 2016, Paul Delecroix is for its part very close to committing to Dijon. Before him, Samuel Renel joined Red Star, while Sammy Benchamma chose to join Sochaux. A drain of talent which says a lot about the club’s bleak prospects, a few hours before a verdict everyone fears.
