A robust technical sheet
Xiaomi has not been original with its 13T Pro. With its sober design, its barely adequate battery life and its cameras which don’t shine any more than others, we have here a smartphone which could please a lot of people, but which will not leave a lasting memory. By purchasing it, we know exactly what awaits us, and perhaps this is where its main quality lies.
With its Dimensity 9200+ processor, the Xiaomi 13T Pro can run any application or video game without flinching. Additionally, its 1TB version also comes with 16GB of RAM which will never be a performance-limiting factor. This substantial storage space, for its part, will prevent you from going into the trash bin for a few years. So many clues which suggest that this smartphone will stand the test of time, a quality reinforced by adequate protection standards (IP68 and Gorilla Glass 5), Wi-Fi 7 and 5G connectivity, and by four years of updates. major updates provided by Xiaomi.
A good companion for photography
On the photo side, if the Xiaomi 13T Pro is positioned below the top names in the genre, it nevertheless has a few tricks up its sleeve with its three sensors accompanied by lenses designed by Leica. If its main camera and its ultra-wide-angle lens offer correct results in all situations without ever impressing, it is its x2 lens that really shines. It offers a 50 mm equivalent that we appreciated during our test, since it allows you to take rather interesting portraits.
All these shots will be highlighted by the device’s screen, which also made a good impression on us. Its 6.67-inch OLED panel in 20:9 format is fluid and bright, a first-rate asset for a smartphone sold in this price range. However, it weighs a little too much on the autonomy of the 13T Pro, which will not be able to operate for more than a day without having to use a power outlet. Fortunately, the Chinese manufacturer has mastered fast charging, and its 120 W charger allows you to go from 0 to 100% in around forty minutes.
