A true institution, the Main Square Festival returns this year with an original event: a concert by Romain Watson, entirely rewritten.

The City of Arras is committed to becoming an inclusive city. A city where everyone can find their place, have access to public services, culture, leisure and get around easily and safely. It is together that the City of Arras, Live Nation and the Urban Community of Arras are committed to making the Main Square Festival an event for everyone. This year, a completely changed concert will take place on the Bastion stage.

Romain Watson as guest star at Main Square

Chansigne is a form of artistic expression that allows you to translate a song into French Sign Language, using bodily expression to the rhythm of the music. So it’s Saturday July 6 at 4:30 p.m., on the Bastion stage, with the artist Romain Watson, Arrageois and revelation of the French song of Hauts-de-France 2023, that two members of the collective “10 fingers on the run”
will perform his songs.

Romain Watson has already played in front of hearing-impaired and deaf audiences, notably at the École des Jeunes Sourds d’Arras, so it was natural that he immediately accepted Live Nation’s proposal. For the launch of this experience, Live Nation is offering deaf and hard of hearing people the opportunity to attend this concert for free (subject to availability).
