This Saturday, June 22, around 1:45 p.m., a national police patrol spotted three delinquents known for pickpocketing and assaults. They decide to watch them discreetly.

An initiative that would prove to be profitable since, arriving at rue des Étuves, they saw them enter a shop, steal a bag and run off in several directions.

Attack on a police officer

A 17-year-old Algerian boy was quickly apprehended while being chased. One of his accomplices almost got caught too, but he resisted. He violently hit a policewoman in the face and was able to escape.

This former unaccompanied Algerian minor, who had reached the age of majority for a few days, was finally arrested on Cours Gambetta at 6 p.m. Note that he was released from prison barely two weeks ago. As for the third, he is still being sought.

Six months firm

After being placed in police custody, the minor is the subject of a summons to appear in court on September 19.

As for the young adult, he was sentenced in immediate appearance this Monday to six months in prison with a committal warrant.
