Are there artists that you have wanted to welcome for years and who are coming in 2024?

Alex Beaupain! For six years, I have tried to have the joy of presenting to the public of Vannes and the surrounding area this artist that I adore. He was not available and here he comes on a creation called Black cat. This musical show is written and directed by Christophe Honoré, and accompanied by singer and cellist Valentine Duteil. A sublime melancholy.

We suspect that you will like the entire Emancipéés 2024 program. However, do you have any favorites?

The five creations are and the homage to Jane (Birkin). We knew each other, we talked to each other, we saw each other off stage. I accompanied three of his creations. The relationship between Jane and I has been one of wonderful relationships both professional and more personal. The Emancipéés pay tribute to her during an evening (Saturday October 5 at 7 p.m. at the Palais des arts) which will begin with extracts from Gabrielle Crawford’s book, “Jane Birkin”, read by Emmanuelle Béart, followed by “Gainsbourg, poet major”, a creation of a three-part reading performed by Charlotte Gainsbourg and actors, before ending with the screening of the Jane Birkin by friends concert at the Olympia.

We imagine that rap is not the kind of music you listen to every day. What do you think of its promotion this year at the Emancipéés?

So far no, but I really discovered it. Rounhaa, who will perform at the port on Saturday September 28, is a big favorite. It’s beautiful, extremely well written, musically very interesting and its chant is very personal
