Rabat – The regional spokesperson for the American Department of State, Samuel Warberg, expressed his country’s thanks and consideration to HM King Mohammed VI for the humanitarian medical aid operation deployed on Very High Royal Instructions for the benefit of the Palestinian population in Gaza.

The United States “would like to thank HM King Mohammed VI not only for this new aid, but also for all the efforts made over the years” by the Sovereign, Mr. Warberg said in a statement on Tuesday to “Médi1 TV”.

Mr. Warberg highlighted the friendly relations between the Moroccan and Palestinian people, as well as the humanitarian operations initiated by Morocco for the benefit of the Palestinians, the latest of which, deployed on Very High Royal Instructions, is part of the continuity of this surge of solidarity.

He further stressed that the United States welcomes Morocco’s support for diplomatic efforts aimed at reaching an agreement.

HM King Mohammed VI, President of the Al Quds Committee, gave His Highest Instructions to deploy a humanitarian medical aid operation intended for the Palestinian population of Gaza. This aid is made up of 40 tonnes of medical products containing, in particular, devices for treating burns, and surgical and trauma emergencies, as well as essential medicines.

The Moroccan aid was transported through the same unprecedented land route used during the food aid operation deployed on the instructions of the Sovereign last Ramadan.

These large-scale humanitarian operations for the benefit of the Palestinian populations confirm the effective commitment and constant solicitude of HM King Mohammed VI, may God help him, in favor of the Palestinian Cause.
