The College wishes to fill the position of: Communications Technician – Communications Department

Under the authority of the communications and admissions manager, the communications technician participates in the College’s communications, events and promotion activities and projects. The person participates in updating and disseminating the institution’s information as well as in the production of digital and printed promotional materials. She participates in the creation of graphic content for projects, all with the aim of better informing students, staff members, parents and the general population by using various modes and information media for this purpose.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produces the establishment’s newsletter
  • Participates in the development, creation and writing of various communication and advertising tools
  • Carries out the graphic design of communication pieces (advertising, poster, leaflet, graphic standards, etc.)
  • Plans content calendar for digital platforms
  • Ensures the management and monitoring of social networks (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
  • Ensures the website is updated
  • Takes inventory of promotional materials
  • Collaborates in the organization of official events
  • Support the communications department in carrying out its mandate

THE PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR HAS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS

  • Excellent writing skills in French
  • Autonomous, proactive and creative
  • Interest in the education sector
  • On the lookout for new trends in digital marketing
  • Likes to work collaboratively with other members of the organization (teachers, support staff, students)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • College diploma in communications (or equivalent or related diploma);
  • 2 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Excellent command of the French language, both oral and written; • Excellent skills in adapting your writing according to the target audience and the chosen platform;
  • Availability and flexibility depending on College events;
  • Knowledge and skills in graphic, photo and video production;
  • Knowledge of the education sector (an asset).
