In 2022, the Traverse de Cléon, temple of Anglo-Saxon music, asks Manu Lanvin to orchestrate and pay homage to his friend Calvin Russela Texan artist who has disappeared since 2011 but also an essential songwriter on the blues rock scene in France and in Europe.
In just a few days, the ticket office was sold out, reflecting the extent to which this charismatic character with simple melodies and poignant lyrics was still firmly inscribed in the hearts of the French.
It was from the success of this concert that the idea grew to materialize a tribute album, released on June 7, surrounded by guests from various backgrounds, some having experienced Calvin, others having discovered it. For this exceptional concert, Manu Lanvin will be accompanied by Bervely Jo Scott, Neal Black, Gerard Lanvin and Johnny Gallagher to revive this repertoire at the crossroads of blues, rock and country.
